GV-HAX
Build. Prove. Get Selected for SIH.
Registration closes August 25, 2026 // Strictly limited slots
01 / THE ORIGIN STORY
GV-HAX is conducted internally to select the strongest, most capable teams to represent our institution at the prestigious national Smart India Hackathon (SIH).
Built specifically for fair, fast, and comparable evaluation of working prototypes, GV-HAX eliminates speculative slide decks and places full spotlight on technical depth, execution speed, and practical impact.
"Zero pre-built projects. Zero bias. All teams start at the exact same second with live problem statement allotments."

Hard Deadline02 / KNOW BEFORE YOU REGISTER
Review these foundational eligibility rules before submitting your team registration form.
6 Members + 1 Female Member
Strictly 6 members per team. In compliance with SIH national regulations, every team must include at least 1 female member.
Same Institution Only
All 6 team members must belong to the same college/institution. Inter-college combinations are strictly prohibited for internal selection.
Cross-Branch & Cross-Year
Multi-disciplinary teams are strongly encouraged! Combine developers, designers, and domain thinkers across departments and academic years.
One Problem Statement Locked
Each team is randomly assigned one problem statement at kickoff on Sept 2, 2026. Once allotted, problem statements are permanently locked.
Max 4–5 Teams Per Problem Statement
To ensure direct, head-to-head benchmarking, each problem statement is allotted to a competitive cohort of no more than 4 to 5 teams. This provides fair, identical comparison for the judging panel.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Read these carefully before registering — full evaluation rubrics, code-freeze protocols, and detailed guidelines are documented in the official rulebook.
03 / THE ARENA
Problem statements are randomly allotted live at kickoff on Sept 2, 2026 — zero pre-selection, pure engineering execution.

04 / BUILD RULES
All submissions must strictly comply with these technical and documentation protocols.
Private GitHub Repository
Repositories must remain Private throughout the hackathon and judging duration. Making the repository public before judging concludes results in automatic disqualification.
Working Implementation
Your codebase must show at least partial working implementation. Pure mockups or slides without actual functional code will receive zero feasibility credit.
Mandatory README.md
The repo root must contain a comprehensive README specifying: Objective, Core Features, Tech Stack, Local Setup Instructions, and Current Status.
Organizer Repo Access
Read/collaborator access must be provided to the ACCES Committee GitHub account for commit-history timeline spot-checks.
Official SIH Presentation Template
All teams must pitch using the standard Smart India Hackathon IDEA format. Slides outside this format will be penalized during judging.
05 / THE SCOREBOARD
Weighted criteria utilized by the evaluation panel during the 1-hour judging window.
Evaluation Process: Judges circulate pod-to-pod in the 1-hour judging window, reviewing presentation slides, live functional demo, and GitHub commit history together with interactive Q&A.
